When this young couple purchased their forever home, they knew it was the perfect opportunity to get organized and create new habits.
As boxes were carried off the moving truck, we were there to organize everything from the master closet to the garage. Each item in every room was given a specific place to ‘live’ that is both functional and beautiful, creating an environment that reduces stress and encourages productivity.
Rather than spending weeks or months unpacking and living amongst moving boxes, they moved into their new home knowing that everything was taken care of, and they could just enjoy the experience.
This client wanted space to host wine tastings, an office to focus on new projects, and a dining room table that could actually be put to use. She got all that and more during this home organization project. This 3 bedroom family home was completely transformed in a matter of weeks.
Not enough space?
This project was a closet make-over for a male with a mostly professional wardrobe. Prior to contacting us his closet was completely stuffed, un-functional and he was under the impression that he simply needed more space for his clothes.
This was not the case.
After we completed the project, he was excited to learn that not only did he not need more space for his clothes, but he had EXTRA space in his closet. He also is now is able to get ready in the morning in less than half the time it took before because he no longer has to search for matching items, or dig around in the corner of the closet for that one shirt that's been missing.
This is a great example of a closet that works for you, not against you.
Unpacking a new home
Unpacking can be time-consuming and stressful, and it's usually the last thing you want to do after moving into a brand-new home. We organized this home in just a few days while the couple was on vacation, allowing them to arrive home to a beautifully organized home.
Teaching our kids to be organized can sometimes feel like an impossible task, but we're here to tell you that it is possible, and is actually much easier than you think. Once we present them with a system that is clear and easy to understand, it's only a matter of practice and persistence.
This bedroom was reorganized to maximize space in two small dressers and a closet. Everything was categorized creating defined and labeled spaces for each item, so that everyone can easily follow the system and keep things where they belong.
Using a system like this makes it a breeze for parents to keep track of what's clean, what fits, and help kids pick out their outfits. It also teaches kids how to maintain organization and helps them learn how to pick out their own outfits, and even put clean clothes away!
Graduate student apartment
Albeit sometimes hard to believe, students do like to be organized, it's just a matter of helping them get started. This client was a graduate student in his first year of a 5 year program, and he knew he needed to make a change to set the course for the rest of his studies. He worked alongside us and in just 8 hours we were able to completely transform his apartment, and that is including shopping for bins and other items!
Much of what you see here is surface clutter, one of the most common things we encounter. It can quickly get out of control and seem impossible to manage, but it's really not that difficult. By following the simple organizational systems that we put in place clutter is kept to a minimum and it's easy to stay organized. You will have to sacrifice 15-20 minutes per day to stay on top of it, but that is much better than the alternative.
